iNeighbors is a website that caters to residential neighbors. It is a type of social networking site where you can form your neighborhood group. The goal of iNeighbors is to bring neighbors together as a meeting place to discuss community events, become more involved in what is going on in your area, and to discuss and solve specific problems that arise in your neighborhood. The membership is free of charge.

Anyone can create a group and then invite others in the area to join. Members of a group can share documents, photographs, share interesting links.Want more? The iNeighbors website can be accessed from a cell phone, ipod, and the iphone making it convenient for everyone to connect with one another. The neighborhood administrator is the member who created the group. If they should move, they can transfer the administrator position to another member of the group. When the group administrator creates the group, they can make it a private or public neighborhood. Private neighborhoods means that only people invited to that group can join, a public group means that anyone can become a member. Ideally iNeighbors member who create specific neighborhood groups should live within 500 miles of each other. The prefer groups are geographical in nature.
