  • An annual review of your organization can help you become proactive not reactive. By having your organization's board and staff do an annual organizational assessment, your group can identify one or more organizational develpment goals that you want to work on for the year.

    Successful Strategies

  • Use a simple self assessment survey. There are many self-assessment tools available. Select one that is easy-to-use and is most closely aligned with the questions and issues you need addressed.

  • Free or low-cost consultants are available to assist your board and staff to do an organizational self assessment.

  • Funders appreciate reflective organizations. When your staff and board demonstrate a committment to maintaining the long-term health and sustainability of your organization, funders can feel more comfortable in investing in your organization.
